I am so excited about an exhibit in San Francisco that has opened up called, "Frida Kahlo", featuring 50 of Frida's paintings such as "Los Dos Fridas". Frida Kahlo is a renowned artist, And still remains a cultural icon decades after her death in 1954 at age 47. I am definitely going to make it to the to the SF exhibit to check-out and take in Frida Kahlo's incredible, and striking art works in person!


The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art exhibition opened up June 14 and will continue through Sept. 28. Click here for details: http://www.sfmoma.org/

My Sisters Art was Featured in two Etsy member's Treasury!

Hey,

My sister and I run an Etsy shop together, Aslan's Art Attic. In the shop we have "One Of A Kind" mixed media and assemblage art. Our shop has been opened since March 2008 and two of my sister's art works have been featured in two fellow Etsian's Treasury in the same month! I think that is the coolest thing. A Treasury is an Etsy member's gallery of 12 hand-picked items of their favorites. The Treasury is to acknowledge and share the many different handmade items for sale on Etsy. I am Happy that my sister's works were acknowledge and what fun to be included in. The first Treasury my sister was included in was by Etsy member HappyTazzie 5/09/08. It was a Jesus theme of 12 hand-picked favorite items, the Treaury gallery was everything Jesus! My sister's art work "The Tree Of Life, Jesus the True Vine" was the chosen item included in HappyTazzie's Treasury.

Hello!

I made some crosses and posted them in my other Etsy shop,
(for sale now.) I really love creating these and playing with fibers, and beading. They are simple yet pretty to display around the house. I have these around my house. They are a great reminder for me to keep on living and have faith. Live with God and know that he loves you and is beside you all through out lifes journey.
